Be Careful What You Wish For.

I took Jasmine, my black & white springer for a walk on the lead recently. As always she was pulling hard. Try as I might I have never found a way to stop her doing this. “Stop pulling Jazz” I said, for the nth time.

It reminded me of how my liver and white springer Cassie used to pull on her lead also. I wished she would stop doing this too. As the years took their toll she eventually stopped pulling and she walked slowly beside me. I knew her days were numbered.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Cassie last December. How I long for her to still be with me pulling madly on her  lead, needing to be everywhere at a hundred miles per hour.

Be careful what you wish for. It may come true.
